SUMMER SCHOOL 2012 "RUSSIAN STUDIES IN REAL RUSSIA"

 

It is our pleasure to invite you to take part in the Summer School 2012 "Russian Studies in Real Russia" will be held at the Ural Federal University (Ekaterinburg, Russia) from July 30^th to August 18^th, 2012.

THE SUMMER SCHOOL AT THE URAL FEDERAL UNIVERSITY offers two different programmes:

 

"RUSSIAN STUDIES IN REAL RUSSIA" is aimed at studying political, economic, cultural processes in contemporary Russia and also the Russian language as well.
The course of lectures in English (36 academic hours) explores historical and cultural roots of current Russian multiethnic diversity, tracing the most important trends in social, political and economic development of Post-Soviet Russia.

The intensive course of Russian language (from the level A1 to C1, 36 academic hours) contributes to a better understanding of "Real Russia".

 

"RUSSIAN LANGUAGE IN REAL RUSSIA" is aimed at studying the Russian language and the basics of Russian life. Language classes (72 academic hours) will be conducted in groups of 7-10 people depending on the level of the knowledge (levels from A1 to C1).

For advanced learners we could offer the courses of Russian language in everyday life as well as in business.

Summer School will give unique opportunity not only to study wide range of issues concerning to modern Russia but also to visit the best places of interest both in Ekaterinburg and the Ural region. Participation in off-class activities contributes to students� deeper understanding of Russian culture and gives a chance to practice Russian in academic and informal environment.

 

UPON COMPLETION participants will receive a certificate of attendance.

 

IN ORDER TO APPLY you need to fill in the Application Form, attach a scanned copy of your international passport and submit it to e-mail: mariagu@mail.ru. Application deadline is April 30, 2012.

 

FEES

Programme fee is 450 � (covers tuition fee, excursions and cultural programme, official invitation letter and visa support, teaching materials )

Accomodation: the University can provide double rooms in the dormitory (shower, shared kitchen). Dormitory placement is approximately about 120 �. Dormitory is located in short distance to University at the central part of the city and can be easily reached.

Participants are expected to purchase medical insurance in their home country.

 

PAYMENT PROCEDURE

All fees are paid upon arrival.
