Jaroslav Emmer graduated from the Faculty of Education, University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice as a teacher of Czech and English. Currently he is an external PhD student of the programme Philology - English Language at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University. His dissertation topic is "English Idioms of Comparison in Corpus Data".
Specialization: lexicology, lexical semantics, phraseology, corpus linguistics
Other interests: phonetics, phonology, functional linguistics
